Yes, we know, the year ahead is 2024…. But the seasonal collections of the coming year are already ready to be released, even in many shops you can already see some garments of the new season, so many brands are already thinking about the trends of the following ones. And finally, we have here the colours of spring-summer 2025!
For a spring-summer that is still a long way off, but that will end up arriving sooner than it seems, a wide range of tones are being worked on. We are talking about colour in mutation, i.e., classic shades, but with more luminosity, more sober or even with hybrid pigmentations. In other words, the same old colours under a new light.
What’s behind the concept of “colour in mutation”?
If the colours of the previous season conveyed strength and vitality, derived from a collective need to be strong and leave behind the adversity and difficult moments experienced in the previous two years, the chromatic range for 2025 is a reflection of another need that is not so punctual, but has become a constant in recent years: change, flexibility and the ability to adapt to the constant challenges that arise, both professionally and personally. To achieve this, people mutate, as do the colours to come.
On the other hand, growing concern for sustainability and the environment, and more scientific, digital and technological thinking trends, are causing people as a society to rethink their consumption habits, affecting creative processes and industrial production, among other things. Innovation is sought, but also durability, and a constant connection with nature and more artisanal or natural processes.
Thus, everything is renewed, but without losing the connections that give it meaning. The multiple processes of transformation invite us to take a fresh look at the connections between humanity and nature, and to reconsider how we balance the past and the future.
The 4 chromatic lines that will set the trend for spring-summer 2025
The four chromatic lines that are proposed combine timeless, classic tones, but with a twist towards bright tones, thanks to experimentation with pigments. They are more luminous, expressive tones that play much more with light and dark contrasts.
1. Warming nature
The first chromatic line is calm and serene: it combines solar yellow, bioluminescent green, plant beige, light azure, bleached brown, salty grey and dimmed orange.
It is a combination that evokes the soft, warm colours of nature, modulated bleached tones, with the intense contrast of bioluminescent green, like a soft beach at sunset next to a vibrant mangrove swamp.
2. Tropical intensity
The second range reminds us of a tropical seabed, full of intense colours. It combines dark turquin, carotene, detox green, orange shot, brown sugar and coral syrup.
In this case the tones are not toned down, but are presented in all their intensity, they are solid, dense and hyperpigmented colours that transmit energy.
3. Endless nights
Who says night has no colour? The third chromatic range proposed for 2025 reminds us of the nights of a big city that never sleeps, full of life and colour.
It is a range with quartz pink, titanium grey, opal mauve, milky yellow, pearl-skin, fuchsia shadow, white shock and red night. A vague and equivocal harmony between elusive shades and tones.
4. The origin of life
The latest trend-setting combination connects us directly to nature, a profusion of fermented tones, fertile greens and browns, bluish and purplish tones extracted from living organisms.
We will find a fertile brown, graphite blue, violine bacteria, fermented green, turquoise enzyme, and a lively blue together with an algae green and an endless blue.
In the four ranges we can perceive the concept of mutation that we mentioned at the beginning. The changing nature, with the light, with the seasons, with the passing of time, and the transformation of the person himself, who goes from calm daytime moments to vibrant sleepless nights.
And what do you think about the colours that will be trending in spring summer 2025?
